Wig mistakes you're probably making

Wigs are now openly heralded for their versatility, allowing people the opportunity to change their hairstyle in an instant without any commitment to a particular look. They’re also a great protective style, which saves your own hair from daily manipulation and breakage. If you’ve never worn a wig before, or you’ve only worn a wig a few times and you don’t take the time to properly learn how to wear your wig. You could be making one of these common mistakes. You need to know how to properly affix them lest you risk an embarrassing mishap.

Not Pinning Down or braiding Your Hair

The key to making sure your wig isn’t lumpy when you wear it starts with how you prep your hair underneath. Before placing a unit on, don’t forget to braid your hair in cornrows.  if your hair isn’t laying completely flat beneath a wig, it will appear bumpy or like the wig is just sitting atop your head, which is the last thing you want.

Over-styling your baby hair

Go slow when plucking the hairline yourself. While overly styled baby hair continues to be all the rage, it's actually best not to overdo it when wearing a wig to ensure the unit seamlessly blends with your hairline. When you're wearing hair that's not yours, you have to make it look as natural as possible without doing too much. Less is more. Though it may be tempting to elaborately mold your wispies, simply slicking them back with some edge control should suffice.

Going Overboard With Glue

Using glues and adhesives not meant for wigs or the skin, period. In the end, you’re only left with damaged edges.

Use only wig glue when securing wigs to the hairline. Avoid areas with hair. Test a small patch of skin on the inside of your elbow for sensitivity before you use it.

When using glue or adhesives to secure your wigs or pieces you want to make sure that the adhesives dry clear. Some of them leave a residue that looks pretty unattractive when seen and draws attention to your wig. Some of them leave shine as well, which stays on your forehead and also makes your wig look unnatural.

Over Heatting

When it comes to synthetic hair, applying too much heat almost always leads to irreversible damage. So read labels before purchasing! but Noble synthetic wigs can be styled with heat,  Alternatively, invest in a flat iron or other heat tools with multiple heat settings so you don’t have to always work with 450-degree temps.
